"La Grave, Alagna, Zermatt, Chamonix, Val d'Anniviers, Lötschental in January and February": I've been skiing in the Alps for almost 30 years. I'd like to show you the secret spots in Italy (Alagna), La Grave (France) and Switzerland (Zermatt). If you want to leave the crowds behind we go to the beautiful Lötschental valley (especially early in the winter) or the Val d'Anniviers (close to the famous ski resort Verbier). The lift-accessed ski mountaineering from these resorts is world class!
New this winter, we'll be visiting the Val d'Herens, Arolla and Evoléne and not to forget Les Marécottes, close to Martigny.

The Guided Backcountry Skiing in the Grindelwald area of the Swiss Alps is one of off-piste and ski touring’s best kept secrets and offers huge potential for the adventurous skier. The area is characterised by high alpine terrain, deep valleys and charming alpine villages. This area is a fantastic antidote to the more heavily developed areas of the western Alps. Powder descents of 1,500m abound and there are many vast bowls where fresh tracks can be found even weeks after the last snowfall!
